Projects
The Projects Page
The projects page is just a catalogue of things I have been working on show far. As a rundown, I have been doing a few projects mostly pertaining to archival and perservation. This mostly started with perserving things related to my favourite series which I grew up with. Over the years, I have been interested in videogame development of series of platformer series, such as Gex, Spyro and Rayman series which I'm fond off. As it's always interesting to learn a lot about the development process of my favourite media. Not to mention, there hasn't been much documentation which I feel like outside small videos and the internet archive. So, I taken it upon myself along with others to help perserve information on pretty obscure details of a franchise, and maybe sharing it with on this website.
What would be posted here?
Anything I feel like posting which could be creative endavours, perservation projects or anything to do with collecting. I'm not an artist by any means, but it would good way to express myself. Might been dabbled in artistic projects or gamedev at some point. Since, I would like to do more than just be an archivist.
The Rayman Art Gallery wasn't really started by myself. But a couple of friends of mine which I have met through the community. This was initally started as a way to perserve the artwork relating to the Rayman series, which wasn't documented on its wiki or went under the radar which said information was initally recorded in the Rayman Rare Pictures thread. However, this method while useful had a lot of this information succumb to link rot and no way to perserve this. While, the initiative originally for artwork. It also covered merchandise, magazine previews, press kits, spinoffs and cancelled Rayman projects. Later on, this initiative went to preserve other titles created series creator, Michel Ancel. This would included the Rayman Raving Rabbid series, Tonic Trouble and Beyond Good & Evil. This was worked culminated over the course of few years, as a massive perservation effort. The Gex Media Perservation project, coined by myself started around 2020, during COVID. As someone who was interested in Gex series at the time, and establishing a community around it. I tasked myself with trying to revive on the fan wikis for it. The first thing I went through was researching for the press-release materials of the trilogy from Gex, Gex: Enter the Gecko and Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko. Eventually, the Gex community discovered a lot of lost merchandise, regional advertising, commericials and cancelled projects. This was all documented in the aptly named Gexpedia. The primary goal was the expand knowledge on the series and ensure material around it wasn't lost. Aswell as become the #1 Gex series encyclopedia. That, I think was achieved pretty much with the comprehensive about the information kept around in just 5 years alone. This even included regional imports which was never been before on the internet. You can check out some of the manuals here.
